A blessing
May you be late to nothing that matters.
May your no be survivable, and your yes be yours.
May the work be shared, the cup held by more than one hand, and the dog walked by somebody who is not you at least once this week.
May you find the door, and may it be unlocked from the inside.
And when it is not: may the room be wide, may the kettle be on,
may there be a chair at the table with your name on it that nobody has to earn.
Amen — or if amen is a word you cannot use: go in, eat something.
